I was touched by your entry. I just got back about two weeks ago from Mozambique Africa. I was going an evaluation for a non profit NGO that educates people in Mozambique. Please check out my blog at www.andreainfreakinafrica.blogspot.com . It was the experience of my life! I know what it is like to see the conditions some people live in and not know what to do to help. I think art is a great way to help the people of Africa. Many of them need something that will improve their self concept and self esteem and art is a great way to do that. I had never heard the term Pay it Forward, but I highly believe in it. I have been given so much in terms of my own education and I feel like I have so much to give others. Right now I am trying to get the word out about this NGO and how people can help and donate. I am also trying to start a "Donate Your Computer or Camera to Africa" initiative. What do you think?

Thanks for this post--it was very inspiring! I loved the movie, and the artwork above is incredible. I found out a few weeks ago a 4th grade student (that I work with) volunteers weekly at a local animal shelter, walking and playing with the dogs there. It's amazing how much kindness our students have to share!
